Detailed Descriptions of Fiberglass Grating of Its Classification, Features and Applications

Fiberglass grating also known as fiberglass geogrid, geotextile fabric, is a kind of new model material for reinforcement of road surface and bases.

In processing bituminous pavement reflection crack application, it has become an irreplaceable material. The product is adopted by international advanced warp technology using the high strength alkali-free fiberglass as basic material into a mesh and the surface coated. It offers high tensile strength in vertical and horizontal direction, low elongation, high temperature resistance, low cold resistance, ageing resistance, good corrosion resistance performance properties. Therefore the fiberglass grating is widely used in asphalt pavements, cement pavement and enhanced railway subgrade slope protection of roadbed and embankments, airport runways, etc.

Our fiberglass grating products can be divided into molded fiberglass grating and pultruded fiberglass grating according to its applications.

Molded fiberglass gratings are designed to provide the ultimate in corrosion resistance and performance even under the extremely demanding conditions, excellent alternative to metal grating that always has the problems of rust, corrosion, or chemical attack. And they are also cheaper than using metal.

Pultruded Fiberglass Grating:

Pultruded fiberglass grating is made of pultruded shape "I" or "L" high strength grate that has good performs in corrosive environment or where a lightweight grating is preferable.

The raw materials of the product are flexible textile reinforcing fibers and a liquid resin mixture. During the pultrusion process the raw materials are pulled through a heated steel forming die using a continuous pulling device.
